PASM
What is PASM?
PASM is Porsche's electronically controlled damper system that adapts the damper hardness to the driving situation in real time. Sensors measure vehicle movements, lateral acceleration and steering angle, and a control unit calculates the optimal damping for each individual damper. The result: comfort on the road, control on the racetrack. With the push of a button, you can switch between normal and sport.
PASM on the racetrack
In sports mode, PASM tightens the dampers for minimal body movement: less shaking when cornering, more precise steering, more direct feedback. The Engineers developed the sports setup specifically for racetracks. With GT models such as GT3 RS PASM is calibrated even more precisely — fewer compromises towards comfort, maximum focus on performance.
PASM sport chassis
PASM Sport is available on some models — a 10mm lowered chassis with an even sportier set-up. The spread between normal and sport is against, the sport mode is even more uncompromising. PASM Sport is the better choice for pure trackday vehicles. Important: PASM also has limits — there are dedicated Clubsport chassis for pure racetrack use.
Experience PASM at ESC
All ESC-CarForgo-Porsche Have PASM — in sport mode, you can see how the chassis works on the track. Your Instructor Explain the differences and when which mode makes sense. Experience Porsche Technology on the Racetrack.
