What is Kasko insurance?

Kaskoversicherung is the German term for own-damage motor cover: it protects your own car, unlike third-party liability (Haftpflicht), which only pays for damage you cause to others. For trackday drivers this matters enormously, because standard German Kasko policies exclude race circuits explicitly. Take your own car to a trackday, cause damage, and without specialist trackday cover you carry the cost yourself.

Teilkasko versus Vollkasko

Teilkasko (partial cover) pays for damage from outside events: theft, hail, glass breakage, fire, collision with wildlife. Vollkasko (fully comprehensive) adds at-fault accidents and vandalism. For circuit use only a specialist fully comprehensive solution is relevant, and only a few insurers offer one. The excess determines what share of a claim you pay yourself.

Own-damage cover on the circuit

Trackday insurance is a niche market. Specialist providers and one-off event policies will take the risk on - but on very different terms from a normal motor policy. Premiums are higher, the excess is typically 2,500 to 10,000 euros, and some circuits or cars are excluded altogether.

Cover included at ESC

The ESC concept solves the insurance problem neatly: in the CarForGo fleet you drive fully insured Porsche cars - GT3, GT4, 911 GTS. Cover is in the price, with a transparent excess. No small print, no unpleasant surprises. A trackday without the risk.
