What is group training?

Group training is a structured trackday format in which several drivers – typically four to twelve – train together under professional guidance. Unlike pure free driving, there are organised sessions, shared briefings and coordinated coaching. The group learns from each other while the instructors give individual feedback.

Why the group format works

Training in a group has several advantages. You learn from the other participants, see different driving styles and benefit from the questions other people ask. The cost per driver is lower than one-to-one coaching. At the same time a positive dynamic develops – sharing the day with like-minded drivers is part of the experience. The instructors rotate between participants so everyone gets personal advice.

How a training day runs

A typical day starts with a detailed theory briefing: circuit layout, the racing line, flag signals and safety rules. Then come guided sessions in which the group follows the instructor. Later in the day there are free sessions with individual observation and feedback. Video debriefs of onboard footage round off the training.

Group training at ESC

Group training is included in every ESC trackday – from the morning briefing through guided sessions to personal coaching. The ESC instructors have Le Mans and DTM experience and enjoy sharing what they know. Whether you are a newcomer or already quick, find the group that fits you.
