What is Circuit Zandvoort?

Zandvoort lies in the dunes on the Dutch North Sea coast, around 30 km from Amsterdam. It is 4.259 km long with 14 corners, including steeply banked turns such as Hugenholtz and the Arie Luyendyk corner. It has hosted Formula 1 again since 2021 and now sits firmly among the top modern track day circuits.

Banking and character

Zandvoort is a small circuit with a big personality. Banking of up to 18 degrees is close to unique worldwide — only the Karussell on the Nordschleife is really comparable. In the banking the load presses you firmly into the seat. Around that are fast straights and a mix of high-speed and tight sections.

Track days and weather

North Sea weather is changeable — often windy, frequently wet. That makes Zandvoort demanding, but also instructive: you end up practising wet and windy conditions whether you planned to or not. The dunes and the beach make a track day here an experience beyond the driving.
